Hurricane Sandy Gives New Meaning To Thanksgiving

As a Culinary Provocateur, my 'appetite for good' is unwavering. So, when I think of New York, I first and thankfully think of New York's fabulous fare! SoHo, The Village, Chelsea... Just parachute me to East Village and I'm in heaven.
And hello Brooklyn, it's where I cry the whole cab ride across the bridge after inhaling the world's most delicious pizza. Cause my insatiable appetite is never satisfied.

I just freakin love New York and I crave her amazing food always, as well as dialoging with fellow Food Aficionados who also admit fine food and wine trumps even the best, porn any day of the year.

This time of year, rather than racing off to West Broadway to stuff my face with my faves; to Bergdorf to gather more luxurious baubles for a ridiculously ever-expanding Christmas list... I'll instead be returning to my home away from home, to work with a charity we're especially grateful for: www.family-to-family.orgHurricane Sandy Relief EffortJOIN OUR EFFORTS to help displaced families in the N.Y. area who have lost everything!AND HELP US MAKE THANKSGIVING HAPPEN FOR THEM TOO!Since so many families have lost their homes, we can only imagine the anxiety they must feel with the simplest task of planning a family meal for the day. And I can't even imagine how difficult the upcoming holiday season will be for them. TamTheTasteMkr is inviting everyone with an 'Appetite For Giving' to help. We're encouraging our friends to donate to www.Family-To-Family.org to provide full “Thanksgiving in a Box” meals to as many hurricane affected families in the New York area as we can. Each box will contain: A turkey or turkey breast, Potatoes, Stuffing, Gravy,Cranberry Sauce, Dinner Rolls,PieA donation of $125 will help Family-To-Family.org provide a complete, fully cooked meal to feed 10-14 people, including paper goods and delivery of the food. And you don't have to wait until Thanksgiving, there's a whole list of ways to satisfy your Appetite For Giving when you visit www.Family-To-Family.org to learn more. ~ TamTheTasteMkr ~ AppetiteForGiving.blogspot.com
